about

ABOUT THE SONG:

The song is about conveying a deep emotional struggle, reflecting feelings of pain, regret, and a sense of being trapped or haunted by the past.

It feels a profound sense of isolation in our pain. We believe that no one else can truly understand or feel the depth of the anguish that the person experienced. This sentiment is repeated throughout the lyrics, emphasizing the loneliness of their suffering. There's a strong sense of regret for not speaking up or taking action earlier and to expresses a wish that they had addressed or rectified something before it led to irreparable damage or hurt.

The recurring theme of dreams and trying to escape suggests that the past, especially in the form of someone else (possibly a past relationship), continues to haunt and affect the person till present. The imagery of trying to escape a maze and drowning in a stream metaphorically represents their struggle to move on from these memories.

The lines "Biting my own words out" and "Hiding from the places I had bound" suggest self-blame and guilt. The person seems to hold themselves responsible for the pain they're experiencing, acknowledging that their actions or choices contributed to their current state. The plea to God for forgiveness and the statement "God forbid me to take your place!" reveals a longing for absolution or a desire to undo the wrongs committed. The person acknowledges their mistakes and seems to seek forgiveness or relief from their anguish.

Overall, these lyrics paint a vivid picture of emotional turmoil, regret, and the struggle to come to terms with past actions and the consequences. They explore the complex and often tormenting nature of inner pain and the yearning for resolution or healing.

LYRICS :

You showed me that no one, could ever feel the pain that I have seen
You showed me that no one believe that I’ll be under your skin

And I thought I was fine, I see you still keep coming in my dreams
In the maze of an escape, trying to drown me in the stream

Reaching out towards the doorknob, trying to escape the past
Grabbing your shoulder, just to look at me, “If this is what it seems.."

You showed me that no one could ever feel the pain deep in your heart.

You showed me that no one could ever feel the pain that I have seen
You showed me that no one believe that I’ll be under your skin

I saw you sitting in the corner, looking away
Couldn't imagine that you’ll turn into me
I know it’s too late to make it right
I should’ve said something before I bite,
Biting my own words out.

You should’ve seen me crawling out
Hiding from the places I had bound
Feeling lost, lost and empty all the time

You showed me that no one could ever feel the pain deep in your heart

You showed me that no one could ever feel the pain that I have seen
You showed me that no one believe that I'll be under your skin

(I could have fix this but it’s too late,
the choices that I made caused myself to break)

GOD FORBID ME, NOW!

God forbid me to take your place!
God forgive me!

I could have fix this but it’s too late,
it causes me to break.
